Dr Glenda Cooper is a senior lecturer in journalism at City, University of London. She has published extensively on the relationship between journalists, aid workers and social media, and is the author of Reporting Humanitarian Disasters in a Social Media Age (Routledge, 2018) and the co-editor of Humanitarianism, Communications and Change (Peter Lang, 2015). She also researches on AI in news. She was the Guardian Research Fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford University and has also written for the Nieman Institute of Journalism at Harvard University. Prior to joining academia, she worked on many of the UK’s leading newspapers, including: The Independent, Daily Mail, Sunday Times, Daily Telegraph and Evening Standard. She was also a health reporter for the BBC News Channel and a correspondent for BBC Radio 4’s World at One and PM programmes.

Dr Lindsey Blumell focuses her research on human rights, with a special emphasis on gender. She holds a LL.M. in human rights from the University of Hong Kong. She also holds a Ph.D. in media and communication from Texas Tech University. She has been a television producer and reporter, and has worked in Canada, USA, China, Hong Kong, Croatia, and now the UK. Her research has been featured in such journals as Mass Communication & SocietyFeminist Media StudiesJournalism StudiesSociology, and Journalism. She has positioned herself as a leading researching on media messages surrounding sexual violence, and has specifically published on the #metoo movementthe Access Hollywood tapeHarvey Weinstein, and Bill Cosby. She is also a co-executive producer of a documentary about survivors of college sexual assault entitled, Good Girls Don’t Tell.

Atina Dimitrova is a City, University of London alumna who did a degree in Journalism. She also did her MA in International Relations at King’s College London, specialising in international politics of the Middle East, political violence, counterterrorism and human rights. Atina is working as MailOnline's UK Social Media Assistant. She is an author of two novels with work experience across a range of media outlets such as The Guardian, The Times and The Sunday Times Magazine. She has also worked as a hub assistant at the Election Broadcast Hub, BBC Elstree Centre during the 2018 Local Election programme (BBC One) and the 2017 General Election programme (BBC One).
